OUR GUESTS SAY....

We chartered the exquisitely beautiful yacht, Burma, with her knowledgeable captain, for two ambitious cruises in the company of the New York Yacht Club.  Every day we covered miles along the New England coast, anchoring every night is a different harbor. We enjoyed complete comfort and reliability, which is all too rare in a classic yacht.  We had dinners aboard for up to 12 people, and entertained a stream of visitors, who were delighted to find shelter from the sun on Burma’s expansive covered deck. Burma met the needs and expectations of a variety of occupants: racing sailors in need of a home, three teenagers eager to explore, and photographers covering the races, and later, recovering invalids and babies. All were delighted to be part of the Burma experience.

Capt Michael McMenemy proved to be an excellent companion; his knowledge of boats and the harbors, as well as his scrupulous daily maintenance of the vessel, added to the enjoyment of cruise.  We had complete confidence in his abilities, and his presence added to the experience for everyone aboard.

We were proud to be aboard a vessel that held her own amongst some of the finest classic yachts in the world, including Ticonderoga, and the schooner Brilliant, along with some of Herreshoffs and Stephens’ finest. We would doff our caps as these beautiful vessels approached us, and each captain doffed their caps in reply. Burma is recognized as a full-functioning museum piece, and it was a privilege to be a guest aboard.

PACIFIC is the perfect vessel for the purpose in every way: lovely design, ruggedly built, excellently maintained and perfectly equipped for what we were doing. We were so fortunate to find you and her, and we are hugely grateful to you for chartering her to us!

We've had the chance to charter both Burma and Pacific, and had a fabulous experience!   Not only did we love the scenery of both the Maine coast and the Northwest islands around Vancouver, our experience of cruising was enhanced greatly by the gentle touch and support Michael and Debbie give us.   Michael is very experienced as a captain and was ALWAYS there to help us learn about boating, the ins and outs of managing a boat safely and letting us take charge to whatever degree we were comfortable.   What was especially remarkable was Michael's enormous patience in teaching us boating skills or letting us just sit back and relax.

If you are out to learn about coastal cruising you can't find anyone as experienced, patient and enthusiastic as Michael.   He is VERY experienced and manages a boat with your safety in mind, as well as being witty, charming and loves to share his stories of his boating experiences and knowledge of the sea.  You'll find yourself at home whereever you are cruising.

On one trip, we sat at the stern of Burma and just ate, drank and relaxed for three days without leaving to go anywhere and felt taken cared of and content the whole time.  And the lobster was GREAT!  On another trip, he took us to different locations that most people don't know about that were beautiful, spirtual and breathtaking.   I highly recommend cruising with Michael and Debbie.  You'll have a great time and feel safe and at home as you do.
